    Shalom the divine peace may be upon those who follow divine guidance. I am an orthodox Muslim involved in interfaith and intrafaith dialogue. Your comment that Protestants are also the sons of Rome made me smile. Quran names Chapter 30 after the Rome which represents the western civilization. The Syrian Orthodox played a crucial role in 1st century politics and spirituality of Islam. The wife of third Caliph of Islam, Naila, was a Syrian Orthodox Christian who refused to marry after the martyrdom of his Ishmaelite husband. God bless you and we also agree on Ezekiel 18:20. Previously a Russian orthodox monk blocked me. I hope you are open to dialogue.

    Wow. Shalom the divine peace may be upon those who follow divine guidance. This was an amazing reading. I am wondering why it is without comments for almost an year. This perfectly describes the historical trajectory of not only Christendom but the same ideas apply to birth of Karaite movement in Jewry and Salafi movement in the Ishmaelite world. This is an important sentence: Sola Scriptura does not promise, and does not deliver, an infallible church. There is a debate in our faith tradition about the meaning of the the sacred texts about the interplay between Quran and Prophetic praxis at the historical advent and the continuing interplay between Quran and Prophetic descendants. The Twelver doctrine treats Prophetic descendants as infallible. The Sunni doctrine treats the consensus of the entire community as infallible. The middle community or the Ishmaeltic Ebionites called the Zaydis who are the pro-Sunnah Shias treat individual Prophetic descendants as fallible but consensus of Prophetic descendants to be infallible. I also think that if one absolutely rejects the mystic tradition in favour of blindly anti-traditionalist Sola Scriptura, one can end up being a deist and finally an atheist. So, a think one should be skeptically traditionalist rather than being an anti-traditonalist while being a sola scriptura missionary. Modern culture is glorified by western politicians as ‘offering’ creative destruction of the traditional world. This is natural and logical because absence of spiritual light of first commandment only zoological darkness will prevail. Even a Parsi scientist of Pakistani origin ended up being pulled by the black hole of sexual revolution. His case is curious for traditionalists because he died of AIDS. This lawmaker corroborates another Hadith that majority of inhabitants of Paradise will be those who are bulh/blind in materialistic and secular sense but enlightened in the spiritual and scriptural sense. Which implies that when people acquires secular, materialistic and political awareness, but do not have spiritual enlightenment most of them end up being victims of zoological instincts themselves after being provoked by the external fire.   • To Theo Hobson: How failed deism and sola scriptura leads to atheism?

    I want to revive the missionary legacy of what Quran calls a hawari/disciple Thomas who was martyred in India by polytheists for his monotheism. And, today Muslims in India, especially, Kashmir continue that legacy. I have witnessed a relationship between Sola Scriptura movements and deistic movements within both West and Middle East because both dislike the religious tradition, and many apostates tend to be influenced by Sola Scriptura and deism, but not everyone has the fervour of Herbert of Cherbury to dive in the ocean of love and ocean of logos at the same time. For example, Dawud At Tai a saint threw his books in the river to focus on worship and divine remembrance but his friend Imam Zufar managed to reconcile both which requires greater faith and greater scholarship. There is a Hadith that those who understand the logos deeply are more effective against the Evil than the worshipers, however, a Prophetic descendant warns that scholarship which does not have attendant piety is worthless. So, Islamic worldview has been able to contemplate and reconcile these issues centuries ago when West was relatively ignorant about both Scripture and logic. Robert Gauthiot, (the first Buddhist Sogdian scholar) and Paul Pelliot, (who while exploring in Dunhuang, retrieved Sogdian material) began investigating the Sogdian material that Pelliot had discovered. Gauthiot published many articles based on his work with Pelliot’s material, but died during the First World War.

  • The nests of divine remembrace and obedience: Eagle’s nest and secular distrurbances

    God compares attraction of a saint to remembrance and obedience like that of eagle to its nest.
    This is narrated by Imam Ahmad in his book about asceticism from Ata bin Yasar who describes a dialogue between Moses peace be upon him and God. Moses peace be upon him asks God, who are your Godly people whom you will grant the shade of your throne. So, God describes them as eagles of love and obedience and tigers against the forbidden.

  • Quran 6:108: The difference between self-shaming, guilt, insult and blasphemy according to psychology

    Self-shaming and guilt about trying to hurt God’s honour are good. Because Guy Winch admits that guilt is a relationship protector with God or another human. But God says that even the most faithless should not be insulted in Quran 6:108. As mentioned in 1 Corinthians 10:28 Pulpit Commentary But if any man say unto you. Who is the “any man” is left undefined. Perhaps some “weak” Christian is meant, who happens to be a fellow guest. This is offered in sacrifice unto idols. The true reading is probably, hierothuton, sacred sacrifice, not eidolothuton, idol sacrifice. Perhaps there is a touch of delicate reserve in the word, implying that the remark is made at the table of heathens, who would be insulted by the word eidolothuton, sacrificed to idols.

    He did not even know that that my biological forefather was the one who killed Nimrod. May God make me a spiritual, intellectual and possibly a physical purifier of Temples of Jerusalem and Baca like the holy Elam of Nehemiah 12.
    Elam is also the name of the place where the Muslim philosophical saint Ghazali was born which is modern day Iran.
    Elam is also included in the name of my tolerant American secularist virtual neighbour Nick Elam.
    When the temple of Baca is purified, the oud pefume is mixed with holy water which is made from agarwood. First-grade agarwood is one of the most expensive natural raw materials in the world, with 2010 prices for superior pure material as high as US$100,000/kg
    The name Nick also has wonderful connotations for me. Nick is shortened form of Saint Nicholas who was born in Turkey and apparently my Nick loves The Young Turks who are involved in US politics. However, there is something even more interesting he was involved in anti-unitarian heresy and Isaac Newton and Muslims would have disagreed with him, but with rise of greek rationalism, unitarianism makes more sense than trinity.
    Santa Claus is thought by some to have evolved from Saint Nicholas too. I hope just like people today disagree with idea of Santa, they may also overcome the trinity of Saint Nicholas.
