    You cannot read Ezekiel 18:20 without reading the two verses before it. No verse stands by itself. Verse 19 is a question, verse 20 is the answer.
    It does NOT say, no one can ever pay for the sins of another. In fact, the scriptures point clearly and repeatedly to a Messiah who would suffer for all mankind. What you have just done is called “proof texting” – using one verse, taking it out of context, interpreting it the way you want so it fits your doctrine.
    This is commonly call “falsehood.” It is sin, sir, and you should not do it anymore. God doesn’t like it when people do it. I have not distorted the Qu’ran in any way. You should be careful how you distort the Bible.

Even early Christianity had an element of repetitive daily sacraments, but antinomianism removed that from western culture and promoted what Susan Cain calls the Extrovert Ideal of Evangelicalism.     {reply} Aramaic scholar Etan Levine writes: “Once the principle of non-pronunciation was established, and אֲדֹנָי used for יְהוָֽה the Tetragrammaton was freely used in written texts. Thus the Targums frequently use יְהֹוָה where the Hebrew Bible uses אלהים-The Aramaic version of Ruth (Anelecta biblica)1973 by Etan Levine.
    Therefore I do think it is accurate to say that ALLH was/is the tetragram. In fact, Exodus 6:3 goes against this notion entirely.
    You may do well to report to us the commentary by Tafsīr Jalālayn regarding the name Asaf the son of Barkhiyā used when he spoke to God in prayer.

    Ishmael Abraham There is a difference of opinion about the Greatest Name but many scholars think it is Al-Hayy Al-Qayyum الحيُّ القيوم (Quran 2:255) which means God is Alive and Self-Subsisting. Although it is not composed of four letters in both nouns but it agrees with the meaning of YHWH described by bible scholars.

    Ishmael Abraham I am an ecumenical first century Muslim. Specifically I am a Zaydi Shia (like many Yemenis) with Sunni Hanafi roots. I am an electrical engineer and lecturer from Pakistan.

    Ishmael Abraham Saint Arius tried that and Newton wanted that too. I have a vision to achieve that. Al-Azhar Rector met Pope but he is not motivated enough to achieve that. I come from a family of scholars.
    Carlos Madeira I don’t think it would be easy to convince Europe to go back to its Catholic traditional ways. What would be the benefit? Additionally, a world free of religiously motivated politics is safer and just to all, believers and non believers alike. Modern European values are aligned with this concept, even if the implementation is somewhat flawed.
    Ishmael Abraham I recall a western theologian who noticed similarity between Islam and secularism and their emphasis on our intrinsic goodness. I think both Catholic pro-traditionalism and secularism are serving together an opening on mind to Islam.

    Kirby Hopper It will never happen. The 7 Ecumenical Councils starting with Nicaea are a bedrock to Catholicism and them reversing their position on the godhead would be an admission that God had not provided them as an infallible interpreter of God’s word. Once they admit to fallibility they will lose about half their members, many of whom will become disillusioned by their church, feel robbed, and get mad. Their pastoral inclinations would never allow such a scenario to be instigated by themselves. Those who see the light just have to leave and start afresh.
