    Hasan Mahfooz Sayyid Nasr studied the western political philosophy and his views got pretty distorted. Why?
    Ishmael Abraham Our traditional occidenatlism is not a monologue. Secular Muslims believe in an inaccurate overestimating occidentalism while traditional Muslims believe in a blind xenophobia which is at times necessary to preserve traditional culture, like orientalism is an attempt to preserve western cultural supremacy. Of course, we want the supremacy of faith, and not necessarily all traditional culture. So, we need an informed and accurate occidentalism based on truthfulness as well as spiritual xenophobia aimed at resisting temptations.

    Ishmael Abraham I am happy Jim Englert that it makes you sad, like me. But, most people find the sins of traditionalists funny.

    Jim Englert Medieval scholastics had an adage, corruption optimi pessima / the very best thing, when corrupted, is the worst thing of all. Genuine religious faith, grace drawing us into divine life, is the optima, the fulfillment of human life for which we are destined. When that is corrupted, as it is in such farce as today, it becomes worse than secularism. Secularists ignore the Transcendect, at worst deny it. But corrupted religious folks deface Transcendence, disfigure it, such that the world turns away from it in horror. And, yes, this saddens me. Deeply.

    Ishmael Abraham I am horrified by globalization of co-education and porn because they make temptations accessible to most orthodox traditionalists. I heard that even in Vatican someone tried to download porn. And, the sadistic laughter of modernists was deafening.

  • Recite and Ascend: Is memorizing the Quranic Arabic text redundant in 21st century?

    If a Muslim is jailed for life, and he isn’t given a copy of Quran ( like secular dictators did to a Muslim scholar, who knew Quran makes them happy) and he has memorized Quran, he has got a great comforting Companion until death. Ishmaelite Prophetic descendant Imam Zayn Al-Abidin(p) said: If everyone from East and West died, I would not feel alone if I had Quran. Of course, those who are comforted by strippers, vulgar music and alcohol cannot understand the spiritual euphoria involved . I wish I memorize Quran too before dying so that I can ascend one of the highest ranks in the multiverse of Paradise, according to the text: Recite and Ascend, where people from lower ranks cannot ascend to higher ranks, but people from higher ranks can descend to lower ranks.

    The difference between legend and loser is getting back up, after you lose. Losing is our teacher. We lose, we learn. That makes losing our friend. Losing makes us tougher. Makes us humble.

    Philosophy of polytheists is about Machiavellian eloquence of Balaam. Moses(p) is said to be not very eloquent but spiritual leadership(Imamate ) rested in him. May God bless us with intellectual and spiritual Maccabees.

  • Only the lovers of Prophetic family feel the awe of eclipses

    Ali Bin Al-Husayn(p) said: ‘No one feels awe of these two (eclipses) nor is anyone intimidated by these two Signs except the one
    who was from our lovers . So if (these Signs) have happened, so be in awe of Allah Mighty and Majestic, then return to Him’

  • Intellectual and political awe and secular disenchantment

    Tafsir Al-Bahrani Quran 16:1

    The sacred texts of Islam suggest that God grants victory to faith through a sense of awe as mentioned in Quran 18:18. Currently secular philosophy has monopolized the sense of intellectual and political awe but even secularism will undergo a disenchantment in future God willing.

  • Jinns may be a  traditional allusion to psychosis

    Is he possessed by demons/jinn?

    They said: He is not mad/majnun.
    It means that jinns may be a  traditional allusion to psychosis, or at least psychosis is a natural subset of supernatural possession.

  • While western Christianity sleeps

    To a Christian who calls atheism irrelevant:

    You call atheism irrelevant which means you are ignorant. Atheists are spending most of their time hating God which has started to export apostasy to Middle East which will lead to WWIII. We know how to defend our faith. West does not care about faith anymore. Prophet Jesus(p) is coming soon as a Muslim to defeat trinity, sodomy and apostasy while western Christianity sleeps.
