  • Responding to blasphemous depiction of angels in the grave

Munkar and Nakir literally means someone horrible beyond usual depiction and recognition, so any depiction whether blasphemous or like Christian art will not be accurate. According to Prophetic descendants who fasts in the current lunar month of Shaban for nine days will be saved from their horror.

  • Post traumatic growth and problem of evil

Nick Elam If I were Job I wouldn’t be loyal to the entity that inflicted such unwarranted suffering upon me.
Ishmael Abraham I share DNA with Job peace be upon him. I suffer from a chronic disease. And, I believe in post traumatic growth. I have grown in empathy with fellow patients. I have got more passion to improve health discourse in my country. Medical science and philanthropy would not exist and grow if there were no problems at all. Problem of evil confuses the superficial mind. I can see the broader picture beyond my selfish cocoon.
  • Islam, secular Buddhism, fasting and bulimia

Fasting can cure impulsivity and bulimia. In Buddhist secular fasting it is from noon to morning while in Islam it is from pre-dawn to sunset.

  • Yom Kippur, Night of middle of Shaban and Sola Scriptura propaganda

I missed the voluntary commandment of pre-dawn meal for today’s fast but I still fasted to refute Sola Scriptura Salafi propaganda against voluntary fast on 15th of Shaban a month of lunar calendar like that of Jews. Unlike Yom Kippur, in Islam nibbling is not allowed but fast does not start from previous night but after pre-dawn. Even antinomian Paul fasted on conversion. Like Yom Kippur, the fate is sealed in this night. John the Baptist fasted more than the Messiah peace be upon him, so the former was a Sufi saint and latter was a Scriptural saint. As Jesus peace be upon him taught we should wash our faces to appear fresh during fasting which Muslims do during ablution called wudu. One can work too unlike Yom Kippur which fulfills the intent of Messiah peace be upon him.

Hussain Murtaza What is nibbling in the Jewish fast?
Ishmael Abraham Eating in small amounts due to health issues.
Hussain Murtaza Yes, but I was asking about the limits??

Ishmael Abraham They have their own fiqh about that. About liquid a modern rabbi said less than 80cc.
  • Importance of chronological sequence(tartib) in missed prayers

If someone remembers a missed(qada) prayer during praying with Imam, he should offer the missed prayer after the prayer with Imam and then he should repeat the prayer he offered with the Imam.

According to Hanbali scholars sequence is wajib(compulsory) in missed prayers.

On the day of judgement, God will ask the pure.

    Why didn’t you sin, wasn’t I forgiving?

Ishmael Abraham This sect was called Murjiah in past.
Ishmael Abraham Murijah comes from raja or hope which is actually a false hope.
  • Friday night and angels with golden pens and silver sheets

Jafar the truthful said to his disciple Umar bin Yazid: On night before Friday angels descend in large numbers and in their hands are golden pens and silver sheets and until sunset of Friday they only record the salat the prayers of blessings on the Prophet(s) and the Prophetic descendants(as).

He also said to him: O Umar! It is part of sunnah to recite salat one thousand times on Friday and one hundred times each day.

  • The best Tasbih: The glorification most beloved to God

The most beloved glorification to God is the one when people are engaged in truthless secular discussions and during that a person starts remembering God.

Remember God excessively when you enter markets and when people are busy.

  • Hard work in innovated supposed virtues

Moderate work in virtuous actions according to Prophetic praxis of sunnah is better than hard work in innovated supposed virtues.

Ali bin Abi Talib and Abdullah bin Masud

  • O God do not make my heart go after something…

O God do not make my heart go after something you have deprived me of.
