الصوم في الحر جهاد. (رسول الله صلى الله عليه وآله)
The Messenger of Allah(s) said: Fasting on a hot day is jihad.
أفضل الجهاد الصوم في الحر. (الإمام الصادق عليه السلام).
Imam As-Sadiq(as) said: Fasting on a hot day is the best jihad.
من صام لله عز وجل يوماً في شدة الحر فأصابه ظمأ وكّلَ الله به ألف ملك يمسحون وجهه ويبشرونه حتى إذا أفطر قال الله عز وجل: ما أطيب ريحك وروحك، ملائكتي اشهدوا أني قد غفرت له. (الإمام الصادق عليه السلام).
Imam As-Sadiq(as) said: Who fasts for God on a day of intense heat, and he becomes thirsty, God appoints for him one thousand angels who touch his face and congratulate him until he breaks his fast, then God says: Your breath and your soul is so pure, O my angels, I make you my witnesses that I have forgiven him.
