Cultural Islam vs political Islam
Ultranomian Islam have appeared before in the form of Maccabees. Gentile abuse and gentile secularization leads to ultranomian inwardness. Political Islam tries to bridge traditional ultranomianism and gentile philosophy by representing aspirations of Eastern purity in a democratic way. West tries to weaponize traditional antinomianism instead which is culturally antithetical to modernity. We need more dialogue instead of more darwinism.
