There are two approaches within Islam: Abiding approach and remembrance approach. In first approach being punctual to God by not missing any of five prayers is important. In remembrance approach, try to see God or at least trying to imagine God seeing you is important which is mostly practised in pre-dawn tahajjud prayer. Both stimulate different areas of brain different to each other and other faith traditions.
