    My modern educated orthodox father spent his whole life with a hypogamous wife thanks to faith inspired altruism. Modern marriage is more like a lustful transaction based on cost and benefit analysis in which meek prospects are discarded like a toilet paper.

    Do not glorify not terminating prayer during earthquake. Quran 2:195 condemns suicidal recklessness. Scholars have stated that even if a non Muslim will be harmed by not terminating prayer, the prayer must be terminated.

  • Comparing subcontinent and west

    Indian Muslims are like Catholics. Pakistani Muslims are like Protestants. Bengali Muslims are like Mormons.

  • Margaret Mahler and Jewish/Ishmaelite mother

    Since a Jewish or Ishmaelite mother is addictive, traditional world needs to explore transitional objects to assist individuation. A universal form of psychosophical wisdom is a good sophisticated transitional object.

I would like Catholics to explore that Saint Arius was the best catholic to walk on earth. However, reformed Catholics following prima scriptura approach like reformed Sufis ( like Shah Waliullah and Ahmad Sirhindi) will be preferable for modern outreach.

    Ishmael Abraham Indian Muslim evangelicals are compromising and people pleasing to the extent of being self defeating. They should learn assertiveness from their cousins.

    When you value a meek faithful, you are worshiping God and when you value a celebrity theologian you are worshiping a personality cult.

  • On Bhutto’s polemic

    Bhutto could be more effective leader if he preferred logical debate over polemic. But one cannot be popular in subcontinent without polemic.

  • Comparing Salaf and Khalaf

    فضل السلف علي الخلف في التدين و فضل الخلف علي السلف في التدوين

    Salaf is preferable in spirituality and Khalaf is preferable in codification

     

  • Shia analogy and Abrahamic tree

    Muslims can be called Shia of Ishmael while Jews and Christians can be called Shia of Isaac. Some can be the people of United community.
