A spiritual Ishmaelite

In the realm of divinity, let me begin,
To weave a tapestry of the Names of Him,
Ninety-nine pearls, each radiant and true,
Reflecting Allah’s essence, both old and anew.

Al-Rahman, the Merciful, ever so kind,
Al-Rahim, the Compassionate, gentle in mind,
Al-Malik, the Sovereign, with power untold,
Al-Quddus, the Holy, purifying the soul.

Al-Salam, the Source of Peace, calming our strife,
Al-Mu’min, the Faithful, guiding us through life,
Al-Muhaymin, the Protector, watchful and near,
Al-Aziz, the Mighty, no challenge to fear.

Al-Jabbar, the Compeller, mending the weak,
Al-Mutakabbir, the Majestic, the One we seek,
Al-Khaliq, the Creator, shaping all we see,
Al-Bari’, the Evolver, with wisdom and decree.

Al-Wahhab, the Bestower, granting blessings abound,
Al-Razzaq, the Provider, sustainer profound,
Al-Fattah, the Opener, unlocking the way,
Al-Alim, the All-Knowing, lighting our day.

Al-Qahhar, the Subduer, all forces under command,
Al-Wahid, the Unique, oneness grand,
Al-Muhsi, the Reckoner, recording every deed,
Al-Mujib, the Responsive, fulfilling our need.

Al-Wadud, the Loving, with a heart so pure,
Al-Ra’uf, the Kind, compassion to endure,
Al-Ghaffar, the Forgiving, mercy unending,
Al-Tawwab, the Acceptor, grace ever extending.

Al-Matin, the Strong, unwavering and true,
Al-Wali, the Guardian, watching over me and you,
Al-Hakim, the Wise, with wisdom supreme,
Al-Wasi’, the Vast, encompassing every dream.

Al-Jalil, the Majestic, with glory embraced,
Al-Karim, the Generous, blessings interlaced,
Al-Raqib, the Watchful, guarding day and night,
Al-Mujeeb, the Responsive, granting our plight.

Asma-ul-Husna, the Beautiful Names divine,
Each one a treasure, a gift so sublime,
In their invocation, we find solace and peace,
For Allah’s Names, our worries cease.

So let us recite and honor these Names,
For through them, divine connection remains,
In unity and love, we find our way,
With the Names of Allah, guiding each day.
