Nick Elam The increased divorce rate is largely due to the fact that it is much easier to get a divorce in America than it used to be. Unfortunately, many women would be stuck in abusive marriages because they had to prove in court they had good reason for divorce. So no regrets there. And of course any rational person opposes any extremist brand of feminism (or any teaching) that breeds hate towards other people. The problem is I see many people who say that, yet attack all feminism or any attempts at gender equality. Yet again, you find yourself agreeing with conservative Christians.

Nick Elam You’re absolutely right. So the fact that you had to prove fault to get a divorce was ridiculous.
Nick Elam If you really want to lower the divorce rate, maybe we as a culture shouldn’t pressure people so much to get into commitments they aren’t necessarily ready for or have thought through.
